Bowie Gridley brings a unique portfolio and award-winning expertise in master planning and design for K-12 independent schools, higher education facilities, and private clubs throughout the east coast and will complement and strengthen DLR's experience in its educational and hospitality design markets while enhancing its Washington, D.C. footprint.
Founded in 1981 and located in Washington, D.C., Bowie Gridley specializes in institutional projects including campus master planning, learning spaces, performing arts venues, libraries, athletic facilities, dormitories, student life, and recreational buildings. In the past three decades, Bowie Gridley has worked with some of the country's most prestigious independent schools, universities, and private clubs.
DLR is an employee-owned, integrated design firm with a leading K-12 Education practice. With offices in 26 metropolitan areas across the United States as well as Dubai and Shanghai, DLR is ranked #60 on the 2021 ENR 500 Top Design Firm list and has over 1,000 employees. BGA and DLR will relocate to a new Washington, D.C. location in the spring of 2022.
